Radio Connects with the Community
The first Fire in the Sky was held on the Sunshine Coast in 2014 and has now grown to be one of the Coast's biggest stand-alone events, attracting a record 30,000 people in 2018. Based on its success, we now run Fire in the Sky events annually in Townsville, Mackay and Bundaberg and for the first time in Cairns in July 2019.
All Fire in the Sky events are promoted as family friendly and alcohol free events with the event program featuring a line-up of local musicians, children’s amusement rides, food and market stalls with the event culminating in a spectacular fireworks finale set to a soundtrack simulcast live on air.
For us, it's an opportunity to give back to the local communities that support us so much throughout the year, showcase local talent and engage with our audience.
